Wayne and Shuster share a look at W. C. Fields, born William Claude Dukenfield, began work in show business at the tender age of 13, performing juggling and trick pool shots at a local amusement park in Norristown, PA. When noted film director D.W. Griffiths saw Fields in the Zigfield Follies he hired him to be in the film Sally Of The Sawdust and the rest as they say is history! Audiences loved the tippling red nosed master of the double entendre, in a time where adult humor was in short supply up on the silver screen. These classic comedy shorts were written by Fields, and drawn from his early days as a vaudeville star. It's timeless comedy at its very best!
