Broadway Theatre Archive: Sty Of The Blind Pig

The New York Times has deemed this extraordinary collection to be "the crown jewels of public and network television."

Originally produced in 1971 by the estimable Negro Ensemble Company, and hailed by Time Magazine as one of the best plays of the year, this vivid drama is about an uprooted black family from the South living in Chicago at the start of the civil rights movement. The family confronts their old values and wonders how this new movement will effect their lives.
