British Royalty 3-Pack: The Queen Mother/ Princess Diana/ Prince William

The Queen Mother: A Royal Century:
This is the newest and most comprehensive film portrait of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, placing her life in the context of the Twentieth Century as a whole.

As old as the century, the Queen Mother is a revered figure in British life - a symbol of courage in World War II and an icon of stability ever since, the Queen Mother attracts a loyalty of affection matched only by the Queen herself.

Princess Diana: The Uncrowned Queen:
As the process of looking back on the life of Diana, Princess of Wales continues, it is becoming clearer that Diana would have been a much loved Queen, but it was not to be - for many reasons.

This new program explores new themes: Princess Diana's relationship with America; the gap that has been left in public life with the princess's death; the role of the media; the belief that the memory of the princess may have ushered in a more compassionate world; and above all the visible and increasingly impressive presence of her two sons, William and Harry. Both fine boys conducted themselves with unbearably poignant dignity at their mother's funeral.Just days after her death they were able to smile and thank ordinary members of the public who expressed their own grief directly to these two young boys.

What legacy will they face? How much has, Charles been able to protect them?Certainly Harry seems visibly fond of his father. But how will Prince William feel about some of the petty acts of spite which his mother suffered?

With the benefit of previously unseen footage and contributions from Princess Diana's friends, this authoritative program provides a moving account of the unique life of the twentieth century's most remarkable woman.

Prince William: Future King:
This new portrait of Prince William, future King of England and one of the most eligible young men in the world, builds up a fascinating picture of an extraordinary individual.

Inheriting the good looks of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, Prince William is in character close to his father, Prince Charles. Now that the tragic death of his mother seems a long time ago, his life has settled.Prince William is going to university, surrounded by beautiful young women and seems very much at home in the world, if not with the world's press, whom he still barely tolerates.

The program shows Prince William's life with his parents, the touching and strong bond he had with his mother, Princess Diana, and his growing confidence in recent years. We see his courage at his mother's funeral, his life as a schoolboy at Eton, and now his emergence as an attractive and good-looking young man.

As well as an intriguing royal portrait, the program asks many questions: how does William get on with his father, his brother Harry; who are Prince William's friends; what are his great personal interests?

How does Prince William get on with the Queen? Is he still angry at his mother's treatment by both the press and the Royan Family?Does he still want to be King of England? Will this British Royal prince have the same impact on the world that his mother Diana did?
