Sam is on the rebound from a miserable six-year marriage and vows never to make that commitment again. He's smart, good looking and athletic, but his search for the perfect relationship has come up empty.

Janet has her own problems, separated from a controlling husband who refuses to grant her a divorce. She's intelligent, creative and very attractive, but getting involved in another relationship is the last thing on her mind.
