They've got Nothing in Common but the Determination to be the Best.

Set against the rapid-fire excitement of the world of professional soccer, Hotshot features a breathtaking player's-eye view of the action and world reowned superstar Pele in a hard-hitting story of determination, heroism, and friendship.

Jim Youngs stars as Jimmy Kristidis, a hot-headed, egocentric, up-and-coming soccer player who idolizes the great Brazilian pro Santos, played by Pele.Despite the coach's unease with Jimmy's overbearing manner, both he and his friend Vinnie are recruited to the New York Rockers Team.

Jimmy begins a trail of learning and wisdom as he is tutored and taught the fine points of soccer by Santos.Their relationship begins stormy, but the often arrogant Jimmy has much to learn from his teacher.

He learns it well and brings the wisdom of the worlds-greatest soccer player back to New York to share with his teammates as they head for their final playoff game.
