Based on the novel by S.E. Hinton, Tex is considered the best of the trilogy. Two American teens in the Southwest are trying to make the right decision with little parental guidance.Tex McCormick (Dillon) is easy-going and spends most of his time riding his old, reliable cow-horse Rowdy, or playing practical jokes with his best friend Johnny (Estevez).His older brother Mason (Metzler), however, must assume the responsibilities of running the household for their rambling, rodeo-riding father, despite his dreams of an athletic scholarship.
As the two boys struggle through their conflicts and face the challenging choices of adolescence, their relationship grows stronger in this superb coming-of-age adventure.
