Ingrid Bergman stars as Kerstin, a small town girl whose violent past forces her to change her identity and flee to the big city. The movie is far from idyllic as a host of complications threaten her new life and identity. Eventually, the problems become resolved as Kerstin accepts her past life and is able to move forward. June Night was Bergman's last Swedish film before coming to Hollywood.
