Ever the iconoclasts, Tom & Dick Smothers decided to release the third and final season of their groundbreaking TV series first, and what an amazing season it was. Tom & Dick fought with CBS censors repeatedly throughout the season, and this DVD set features many segments that were censored by CBS at the time and never seen on network TV.

Included in this DVD set are classic performances by Bob Newhart, Steve Martin, David Steinberg, Jackie Mason, George Carlin, and Jonathan Winters, plus the hippest music acts from the late '60s:

- The Doors in an iconic performance of "Touch Me"
- Ike & Tina Turner in a raucous version of "River Deep, Mountain High"
- Donovan, Joan Baez, Judy Collins, plus many more!

In the end though, what makes The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour so riveting is Tom & Dick's biting and irreverent political and social comedy, which stands the test of time like precious few 40-year-old television shows.
