It's never too late to find your way home.

Vietnam War veteran Jake Neeley (Danny Glover) has been hiding from his memories in the woods of the Pacific Northwest for 35 years. His only contact with society is through an occasional supply stop in town and with a widowed shopkeeper, Kate (Linda Hamilton). But when a dying army buddy (David Strathairn) shows up at his doorstep with his young daughter, Jake's life is thrown into chaos as he is forced to take the girl into his care. His gruff exterior and lonely routines are suddenly broken down by the young and feisty girl who works her way not only into Jake's heart, but also into the lives of Kate and a whole community of forgotten vets who can finally begin healing their emotional scars. Breathtakingly beautiful and powerfully moving, Missing In America blends messages of hope, healing an love through the eyes of a little girl... a movie that you'll not soon forget.
