With significant access to Marine Corps training facilities around the country, The Marines examines the unique "warrior culture" of the smallest but fiercest branch of the U.S. armed services. This 90 minute high-definition documentary focuses on their training and examines what it takes to become a Marine and what it means to be a Marine. The Marine Corps "Warrior Ethos" is engrained into Marines from their earliest training. This program examines the nature of the strong bond that Marines have to one another and to the Corps. With interviews from present and former Marines of all ranks, authors and correspondents, The Marines illustrates the rice history, traditions, and continuing importance of the Marine Corps. The program also explores the role of women in the Corps and visits the new Marine Corps Museum in Quantico.
