Wealthy big game hunter Tom Newcliffe (Calvin Lockhart) has tracked and killed nearly every kind of wild animal in the world. But, one creature still evades him and it's the biggest game of all - a werewolf.

Tom invites five guests - Dr. Christopher Lundgren (Peter Cushing), Paul Foote (Tom Chadbon), Bennington (Charles Gray), Jan Jarmokowski (Michael Gambon) and Jan's girlfriend, Davina (Ciaran Madden) - to his island for the weekend, knowing that they all have ties to grisly, unexplained murders...and one of them is a werewolf! Added to this strange mix are Tom's attractive wife Caroline (Marlene Clark) and his surveillance expert, Pavel (Anton Diffring).

As Tom slowly goes insane in his pursuit of the werewolf, it escapes him every time! Yet, one by one, the beast begins to murder the isolated guests.
