This wonderful debut feature captures the elusive relationship between two teenaged girls. Gwen and Lise live in opposite parts of France but have spent summer vacation together on the Brittany coast for years. Gwen is a blossoming 15-year-old who enjoys the attention of the boys in her port town, where she lives with her mother and often-absent father. Lise has never known her father, so she is confused as to how to react to his sudden, accidental death. After this stunning blow, she runs away to join Gwen in Brittany. The 15th summer of Lise and Gwen will be one of many contrasts, between love and desire, laughter and tears, life and death. An intimate, unflinching look at the intricacies of two girls lives.
