Dark secrets hide dark deeds. "What have you done with her body?" This cryptic message, handwritten on a mysterious letter, is at the heart of this daringly original, psychological thriller! Charming, likeable Ben Turner is living an idyllic life in the sleepy English countryside. Happily married and father to a six-year-old daughter, things couldn't be better... until a dark reminder from his past turns up in the morning mail. On the heels of that unsettling incident, the mysterious Rachel Monro checks in to the country inn run by Ben and his wife, Natalie. Ben is unsettled by their enigmatic new guest, but can't quite figure out why. As he struggles to place where he's seen Rachel before, she and Natalie form a close friendship, a prelude to a disturbing cat and mouse game meant to unearth a secret from Ben's past-at any cost. Is Ben the man Rachel is convinced that he is? As Rachel's obsession grows, the stakes become higher, eventually leading to adultery, kidnapping, even murder. The tables are continually being turned within this labyrinth of passion and deceit-you won't quite know who the real "villain" is from one moment to the next. Once you do, expect to be shocked-even disturbed-by the answer!
