I have crossed the Seven Seas to understand that I can't live without you.

Ulises (Jordi Molla - Bad Boys II, Blow, Nadie Conoce a Nadie) arrives in a small coastal town to begin his new job as the literature instructor at the local high school. He rents a room in a boarding house where he meets the landlord's beautiful daughter, Martina (Leonor Watling - Talk to Her, Deseo). Ulises falls madly in love with her and she falls under the spell of his words as he reads passages from Virgil's THE AENEID. During their passionate romance, Martina becomes pregnant and they marry at the insistence of her parents.

They settle into married life with their son and a new house. Ulises purchases a fishing boat so that he can bring his wife fresh fish. But early one morning after he goes fishing, his boat returns empty and is assumed dead. Martina, now with a small child's welfare to consider, marries a long-time admirer, Sierra (Eduard Fernandez), a new life of luxury when the phone rings and she hears a familiar voice on the other end. Ulises has returned.
