The great photojournalist Robert Capa said "If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough." James Nachtwey has been clsoe enough for over 20 years - a time period in which he has not missed a single war.
War Photographer follows Nachtwey for two years to hot spots including Kosovo, the West Bank, and Indonesia, as he searches for a picture he thinks he can publish. A film about a committed, shy man, who is considered one of the bravest and most important war photographers of our time - but hardly fits the cliche of the har-boiled war veteran.
