A documentation of the style and technique of Steve Morse

Steve Morse is the founding member of the progressive rock band the Dixie Dregs. Over the years he has earned several Grammy nominations for the Best Instrumental of the year. Highlights features Steve analyzing the various facets that make up his unique style. Using improvised examples as well as excerpts from his compositions, Steve covers his country, Celtic, and bluegrass roots while explaining techniques such as chickenpickin', double-stop playing, blue-grass and fiddle runs, and banjo rolls. In addition, Steve reveals his virtuoso approach to picking and muting, connecting positions, and learning difficult parts quickly and efficiently. The Steve Morse Band is featured in several burning performances.
