A Workout for Mommy and Me.
Congratulations on the birth of your baby! Now is the time to get your body looking and feeling fit again. Certified Pilates instructor and creator of the Prenatal Pilates video, Sarah Picot has developed this Post-natal Pilates workout to include your baby while targetting those stubborn postpartum areas.
Sarah Picot is a former professional dancer. She is currently teaching at the Washington School of Ballet and trains clients out of her Pilates studio in Virginia. She has 2 children.
Sarah and her 15 week old son Ben, guide you through each of the exercises. There are advanced versions, modifications and baby position options throughout the video enabling all levels to benefit from this workout.
The abdominal wall or "Power House" is the force behind all Pilates' movements. No other exercise program trains the abs to stay flat and toned better than Pilates. This workout geared toward moms and their 2-6 month old babies, is a great way to continue the Pilates training you may have already started or help you begin a new routine of fitness. Do these exercises at least 3 times per week and as your baby grows so will your strength and flexibility.
"I think that children in this perinatal period are very responsive to tactile, auditory and visual stimuli. The mother's ability to interact with the child during this workout makes this a far superior exercise tape... I confidently and enthusiastically recommend this video to mothers." - Dr. Collin Cullen, M.D., Board Certified Pediatrics and INternal Medicine
