Giving local lawmen the slip, he joins up with an outlaw gang and discovers that one of the outlaws committed the murder he was sent up for. Willing to forgive and forget, Brant doesn't realize the outlaw has not only fallen for the same pretty shopgirl, but suspects that Brant is not truly an outlaw.
