Mad Dog
Dennis Hopper (Apocalypse Now, Easy Rider, Hoosiers) stars in this true story of Mad Dog Morgan, a criminal and highwayman of mid 19th century Australia. After serving 6 years hard labor in prison, Morgan is released on parole and heads for the secluded Australian Outback. When the bush gets too boring, Morgan returns to a life of crime with a vengeance, making up for lost time. With the help of his Aboriginal sidekick, played by David Gulpilil (Last Wave, Crocodile Dundee) the two go on a crime spree that raises the anger of the local Police who vow to get them at any cost! With a price on his head and the police hot on his trail, Morgan decides to confront his adversaries one on one, in a final act of defiance! Mad Dog Morgan is an excellent example of Australian film making at its very violent best!
