The Amazing American Animation Archive is a series of DVD's focusing on "the golden age" of animation - the 1930's thru 1950's.
This first volume is comprised of color cartoons produced at the Fleischer Studios from 1934-1940. It was one of the most successful studios in animation's early years. The Fleischer brothers, Dave and Max were responsible for the character of Betty Boop and others. The 11 cartoons contained on this disc delighted millions in movie theaters where they were originally shown and millions more on television in later years.
The cartoons evoke memories of a more innocent era and combine innovative animation techniques with classic storytelling. Children today will find them refreshingly entertaining . And the children of yesterday will enoy this walk down memory lane.
