The Crawling Eye: This cerebrally minded and myopically celebrated sci-fi horror classic takes place in the Bavarian Alps where a climber has been mysteriously killed and decapitated by a strange radioactive cloud. Could this be similar to the fog-like creation that caused the same sort of death and destruction on the Andes just a few years before? Forrest Tucker stars as the UN Special Investigator brought in to solve this case before anyone else loses their head.
The Crawling Eye was made during the height of the "Red Scare" so watch for the many Marxist metaphors of post-McCarthy paranoia going on throughout the movie!
The Killer Shrews: Crazed giant shrews have taken over an island inhabited by a scientist and his lovely daughter (played by Ingrid Goude, Miss Universe for 1957). Now it's up to the handsome captain of a supply ship to rescue them and exterminate these pesky, jumbo-sized vermin! Before there was Ben & Willard, there was only one kind of rodent to watch out for-The Killer Shrews. Brought to you by the same director of the beloved story of a good lizard gone bad-The Giant Gila Monster.
