During the course of an NFL season, every team encounters adversity - but in 2002, the Philadelphia Eagles were tested like no other franchise in recent memory. After leading Philly to a 7 to 3 start, quarterback Donovan McNabb would be sidelined for the last six games of the regular season with a broken leg. Deriding them as a one-player team, pundits predicted disaster for the Eagles down the stretch. They could not have been more wrong. Without their brightest star, the Eagles not only began to play better as a team, they bonded into an unstoppable 53-man brotherhood that rolled to victory in five of their final six games and claimed the NFC East title for the second year in a row.
2002 was also the Eagles final season in their home of 31 years, Veterans Stadium.
