This is a true story based on the best-selling book by Jerry Clemente detailing the largest robbery in banking history. Clemente, a former Boston police captain, together with two fellow officers and others, successfully pulled off the amazing heist. It took the Boston police and the FBI four and one-half years after the heist to uncover sufficient evidence to charge Clemente with the crime. He was subsequently convicted. The majority of the proceeds from the burglary have never been recovered.
