A Supernatural British Mystery Classic
Leaving the theater in the middle of the performance turns out to be a fateful error for young sculptor Mark Easterbrook. He discovers a priest lying on the pavement dying from a head wound who, although unable to speak, gives him a list of names. When the police find Mark with the body, he becomes their prime suspect.
With the list of names their only clue, Mark and pretty art restorer Kate Mercer set out to prove his innocence. Their investigations lead them to an old coaching in called The Pale Horse, now the home of three modern day witches whose occult powers are believed to include death by auto suggestion. Mark believes there is a connection between the witches and the list of names. The quest to learn what it is will put Kate's life in mortal danger and Mark in a desperate race against time to save her.
