The legend comes to life in an all-new animated version as Belial, an evil advisor to the royal family, seeks the living crystals that will give him total control over the four elements of nature: wind, earth, fire and water. A creature created by the first living souls of Atlantis, Gryphos is trapped by Belial in his secret cave, and forced to reveal that whoever possesses the crystals can use the Eternal Flame to gain absolute power. The queen is lost at sea when Belial steals one of the crystals, but the princess befriends Terra, an outsider from the Far Shore beyond the city, and they try to stop Belial from killing her father and conquering Atlantis.
