Toxic Waste Threatens the Wildlife Preserve

Trouble bubbles up in Heartbreak Bay as underhanded oil man Cal Stryker (Jack Conley) talks Fog Benson (two-time Golden Globe nominee Corbin Bernse of L.A. Law into drilling righ next to the wildlife preserve. Ranger Jack Wedloe (Lois & Clark's Dean Cain) is having disciplinary problems with his nephew, Mark (Reiley McClendon), who begins investigating the oil well's effects on the environment for an essay contest. Fog's daughter Ashley (Cody Weiant) and Mark find more than they expected, because the drilling operation is really just a cover for dumping toxic waste. It's up to Mark and Ashley to protect the wildlife--especially a bear named Ben--by exposing Stryker's crooked doings.
