A modern Connecticut factory worker is transported back in time to the days of King Arthur's Court. His 20th century know-how, in the year 528, makes him a magician to the people, an enemy of the once exalted Merlin the Magician, and a favorite of King Arthur. His "magic" includes the use of black powder guns, magnets, compressed air, and his knowledge of science. The Yankee aids the young and beautiful Sandy, whom he eventually marries. They return from their honeymoon to face an army of 50,000 men that Merlin has assembled. The Yankee's powers are too much for the army, but a gesture of surrender is a trick and the Yankee is stabbed. He drifts towards death but wakes instead in a modern hospital. Was it all a dream?
