Isabelle, a stunning beauty, speeding away from LA to escape the tantrum of her movie-star boyfriend, Don Cross (Michael Kastenbaum), a man obsessed with power, guns, trust and death.

During a violent confrontation, Paul (Jon Jacobs), a young filmmaker on his way to Hollywood, rescues Isabelle (Fatos Silan). There begins a cataclysmic race across the desert, where they become lovers.

Don Cross, frantic with vengeance, manages to regain possession of Isabelle. Paul decides to sacrifice his movie deal in Hollywood in order to rescue her, until he realizes that Isabelle doesn't want to be rescued at all, and that her life with Don Cross is nothing more than another Hollywood compromise.

In a bizarre twist, Isabelle and Don finally get what they want, while Paul realizes that he has played the hero, lover, and fool.
