"Clara Bow is pretty, impudent, superbly assured, as worldly-wise, briefly clad and "hard-berled" as possible." - F. Scott Fitzgerald

Stunning. Vivacious. Exhilarating. She was the brightest star of the Jazz Age and its hottest sex symbol. There was never anyone like Clara Bow before - or since! And after the movie, fans had a new moniker for her: "The 'It' Girl."

Clara plays Betty Lou Spence, a beautiful, sassy and self-confident sales girl at the Waltham Department Store. When she first eyes Cyrus Waltham (Antonio Moreno), the handsome son of the store's owner, Betty exclaims, "Sweet Santa Claus, give me him" It's love at first sight and the chase is on in one of the great romantic comedies of the silent era!

Cyrus's pal Monty is fascinated by "it" - that mysterious quality that makes one irresistible to the opposite sex. Betty, he declares, is loaded with "it". And sure enough, she doesn't have much trouble getting Cyrus to notice her many charms. But can an upper-class gent and an uninhibited (but virtuous) flapper find true romance? Misunderstandings, love, sex, class conflict and a ukulele call come together in the film's hilarious climax - aboard a yacht, of course!

This restored version of It, produced by Photoplay Productions under the auspices of Kevin Brownlow, Patrick Stanbury and the late David Gill, features a delightful orchestral score by Carl Davis (The French Lieutenant's Woman).
