Is The Truth Worth The Consequences?
Fresh from MTV's Real World, David Burns and Jason Rush get "reel" in director Dana Altman's sexy, offbeat film about two college seniors who put their diplomas on the line and bring a major university to its knees with a documentary that ignites a firestorm of controversy.
After a bar room brawl lands them in jail, polar opposites and journalism classmates Auggie (Rush) and Zeke (Burns) discover they have two things in common: mutual lust for Auggie's gorgeous ex-girlfriend, Laina (Baywatch's Traci Bingham), and a commitment to truth in reporting. But after their latest class documentary exposes a tenured professor as a sexual predator, both young men must decide whether to take a stand and sacrifice their futures or withdraw their accusations and abandon their principles.
Also starring "Tears For Fears" lead singer Curt Smith and featuring an awesome soundtrack, The Private Public is must-see entertainment!
