A Funny Thing-Visiting cousin Cosmo gives Silas a run for his money as he regales Edward with tales of foreign lands and flirts with Mrs. Betts. Finger Wet, Finger Dry-Edward comes to his uncle's rescue when Silas gets a little too friendly with the village policeman's busty wife. A Happy Man-Edward is fascinated by Walter's war memorabilia while Silas worries that Walter's roses could challenge his own at the flower show. The Christening-With her sumptuous food and other attributes, the widow Ellen arouses Silas' interest, but Mrs.Betts knows this time Silas has bitten off more than he can chew.
