A brutal orgy of ghastly terror! Sacrificed to the non-human creature!
Famous Philippine moviemakers Eddie Romero and Gerardo DeLeon first created their mythical Blood Island for the 1959 classic thriller Terror is a Dead Man (Blood Creature). In planning the creation of a series of horrific chillers, they brought back the locale for this initial entry in a series of three movies all starring former teen heartthrob John Ashley.
The plot is a mixture of fright and sensuality as Blood Island chiefs sacrifice beautiful young virgins to "The Evil One"- a horrid creature, bred by radiation, and like a werewolf, metamorphosed from an innocent man.
Coming to this island are scientists Kent Taylor and John Ashley, along with Taylor's beautiful wife, played by the alluring Beverly Hills (Beverly Powers). Taylor and Hills search the jungle for evidence of mutated life forms as they are attacked by living vegetation and frightening animal life.
The film's climax ends in a blurring inferno as the Evil Creature attacks the villages and scientists, who are unprepared to combat this inhuman monster.
