The only thing riskier than the crime of the century is the romance of a lifetime

Small-time con artist Reese (Donald Sutherland of M*A*S*H* and Animal House) and his computer expert best friend Norman (actor/writer/director Paul Mazursky of Down and Out In Beverly Hills and Moscow On the Hudson) concoct an ingenious plot for the perfect bank robbery. Re-program the sophisticated electronic vault alarm system of a huge Vancouver bank while the building is still under construction, then calmly wait to make one very large withdrawal. But when Reese falls for a kooky commercial photographer (Brooke Adams) who snapped shots of their plans, the ultimate heist takes some very unexpected turns in this surprising crime comedy directed by Noel Black (Pretty Poison) and co-written by the Oscar-nominated screenwriters of Stand By Me.
