Patient, sweet, gentle-NOT the words to describe Barbara Liversidge! She's a no-nonsense, "take-no-guff" housewife, ruling her Yorkshire home with an iron fist and an acid tongue. In Barbara's chaotic world, husband Ted routinely gets into trouble, while daughter Linda is coping with a "goofball" husband. Then there's her lazy Romeo of a son, an overly rude sister and a job that tests her patience on an hourly basis.
Juggling everybody else's problems and solving one crisis after another, is it any wonder a permanently cranky Barbara delivers her opinions with all the delicacy of a chainsaw?
