Contains 4 Complete Shows from the Classic TV Comedy Series.

The Abbott and Costello TV Show is timeless American humor, as fresh today as it was 40 years ago. All the classic routines which "the boys" performed on film, radio and stage, were captured in 1952-1953 for the new medium of television and delivered at the peak of their powers.

The regular cast of characters, including Mr. Fields, Mike the Cop, Stinky, Bacciagalupe and Hillary, had worked with Bud and Lou on film and stage and each contributed memorably. These shows stand today as perhaps the finest surviving representation of the art of burlesque comedy.

Jail
After a series of screwy sidewalk run-ins, Lou tries to rid Mr. Fields' yard of a pesky crow he suspects of stealing oranges. He ends up getting arrested for shooting a hole in Mrs. Crumbcake's 79 cent bucket. Bud forces Lou to fight the case with a lawyer who just got out of jail that morning. In jail, Lou barely survives a murderous cellmatewho goes berserk when he hears the words "Niagara Falls". Sloooowly I turn...

Private Eye
A package arrives from the Watchdog Correspondence School, and Lou is officially a private eye. Bud isn't too sure his wacky partner should be fooling around with handcuffs and a gun. Lou's first case is helping neighbor Dot locate $50,000 in bonds her late uncle hid in his old mansion. A skateboarding penguin and a sneezing painting try to drive the boys out of what Lou calls "the goofiest house I've ever been in."

Vacuum Cleaner Salesman
Behind in their rent again, Bud and Lou visit Fields' Employment Agency. Lou is hired as a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman, but he meets sales resistance at every stop. When Bud suggests he get hsi foot in the door, Lou's foot gets mangled. After a hilarious demo at a farmhouse backfires, Lou tries a final sales pitch on Hillary that finishes his sales career for good.

Fall Guy
Selling "No Peddlers Allowed" signs is the boys' latest scheme to raise room rent, but the signs work too well. Then the boyfriends of two sisters offering them $100 to decoy the girls away from their bird-loving father. Old Man Thomas even has a new TV antenna shaped like a bird cage. Incredibly, the girls immediately take to Bud and Lou, who volunteer to install the antenna and end up in a slapstick rooftop free-for-all.
