Working stiff Steve (Sidney Poitier) thinks he's hit the jackpot. he and pal Wardell (Bill Cosby) are living it up at a posh after-hours club - until masked bandits steal all the patrons' loot. Safely home, Steve picks up the newspaper and reads he really has hit the jackpot... with a lottery ticket tucked in his stolen wallet!
Get down with the buoyant bang-up comedy as straight-arrow Poitier (who also directs) and funky, frisky Cosby cavort with such stellar uptown talent as Richard Pryor, Flip Wilson, Roscoe Lee Browne, Rosalind Cash, Paula Kelly and, in a swell Godfather spoof, Harry Belafonte as a mob kingpin. Looking for "a fast, funny, immensely likable film" (David Elliott, Chicago Daily News)? Then head Uptown Saturday Night.
