Three Great Movies on One DVD!
St. Benny the Dip Singer Dick Hamyes was the title role in this comedy from cult favorite Edgar G. Ulmer (Detour), about three con men posing as ministers to elude the police - but their new identities have unexpected effects on them. OSCAR nominees Nina Foch (Executive Suite) and Roland Young (Topper) costar as Linda Kovacs, who finds "Reverend Benny's" romantic overtures rather perplexing, and Matthew, his silver-tongued accomplice.
Behave Yourself! Bill Denny (Farley Granger) is followed by a friendly Welsh terrier his wife Kate mistakes for an anniversary gift, little dreaming that Archie has been trained to serve as the go-between for rival factions of smugglers. OSCAR-winner Shelley Winters (A Patch of Blue) costars as Kate, with nominee William Demarest (The Jolson Story) as officer O'Ryan and Lon Chaney Jr., Hans Conried and Elisha Cook Jr., among the crooks.
Topper Returns In his OSCAR-nominated role of Cosmo Topper, Roland Young joins fellow nominees Joan Blondell (The Blue Veil) and Billie Burke (Merrily We Live) for another supernatural sequel, following Topper Takes a Trip. When Gail Richards (Blondell) is mistakenly murdered in place of wealthy Ann Carrington (Carole Landis), it's up to Topper and the ghostly Gail to catch the killer - with Burke back again as Cosmo's ditsy wife, Clara.
