Our heroine Ran is still saddled with her erstwhile sidekick, Meow. Together they continue traveling the countryside looking for wrongs to right, and of course, sake.
On their travels, Meow is scouted by an agent and asked to pose for a "beauty portrait." Meow, of course , is thrilled, but Ran can't believe that someone thinks, Meow is beautiful and decides to investigate this shop further.
Then, a pair of female travelers have been committing crimes in local towns. One is a beautiful swordsman. The other is a martial artist. They look "exactly like" Ran and Meow. The only way to prove their innocence is for Ran to prove she doesn't have a mole on her... Needless to say, that's not going to happen! (Not even with the sake!)
And you thought Ben Franklin discovered electricity? Ran and Meow encounter Genkai, a bona fide scientific genius who's working on practical uses for electricity. But he's also got problems with the local gang. Now it's up to Ran and Meow to short-circuit their plans to hijack his invention!
