Kings of Hip Hop is a journey of sound and sight, back in time to the roots of a movement that changed the music, lifestyle and social structure of a generation. The genre that was once "Rap" and then "Hip Hop" had its birth on the tough streets of New York's South Bronx where the street gangs that fought for their dignity and survival traded their weapons for turntables and their anger for the rhymes that transformed youth and it's music, showing us what it meant to grow up in a world only they knew. The founding fathers of this force reunited twenty years later to remind us that the works, the beats and the energy they crated back then are as relevant now as they ever were and that the magic of music only gets better with age.
This show was taped life at Webster Hall in Hew York.
