A documentary about the making of the Grammy nominated album The Wind, Warren Zevon's final recording.
When Warren Zevon was told he had terminal cancer, and was given three months to live, he made two unprecedented and extraordinarily brave choices. The first was to write and record the album that ultimately became the critically acclaimed release The Wind. The second was to allow a VH1 film unfettered access to those recording sessions, as well as to many other aspects of his radically altered life. This footage became a groundbreaking episode of VH1's documentary series Inside/Out, which debuted on the network on August 24, 2003.
All of the guests featured on The Wind appear in the special: they include Billy Bob Thornton, Bruce Springsteen, Don Henley, Dwight Yoakam, Jackson Browne, Joe Walsh, Ry Cooder, Timothy B. Schmit, Tom Petty, Tommy Shaw.
Also included is footage from The David Letterman Show on which Zevon as the only guest.
