During the summer of 2000, we decided to do some shows with several of the guest musicians who had appeared with us on the Outbound project: Sandip Burman, Andy Narell, Paul Hanson, Paul McCandless, & Congar ol'Ondar. These musicians had all played with us individually at various times. But we were intrigued at the prospect of seeing where it might go. And it was a really exciting tour. So exciting in fact, that when the opportunity came up several months later to make this live album, DVD & home video of the band, The Flecktones unanimously agreed that we should do it with the "Big Band." It seemed like the best way to offer something new and unusual to our listeners. Enjoy, Bela Fleck.
