Bob Efford is a native of London, England, where he grew up in a musical family and graduated with honors from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He has toured, recorded, and performed with such renowned acts as the Platters, Burt Bacharach, Marvin Hamlisch, Melissa Manchester, Phil Collins, the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.

In addition to playing in his original group, the Gurus, Bob is a very active session player in the Los Angeles area, having performed dates for stage, film, and television including Murder, She Wrote and Walker, Texas Ranger.
