Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong (1904-1921) was unarguable the greatest figure in jazz history. His gruff voice, sweet trumpet sound, irrepressible swing feel, scat singing, and rhythmic phrasing forever changed the way jazz would be played in the future. In this extraordinary 1963 broadcast, the great jazz prophet Armstrong listens to and comments on his masterpieces from the twenties.
