Acoustic guitarist Bola Sete (1923-1987) received attention when he joined the band of legendary trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie as a versatile performer. Boasting a line-up of top-notch musicians, Turk Murphy (1915-1987) performed material from the early days of jazz with lively exuberance.
