Since the Stranglers signed to United Artists in 1977, many film clips were made to accompany their records. Sometimes even those promoting big hits got only limited showing. Duchess wasn't shown at all by Top of the Pops because the clip was considered to be 'blasphemous'. By way of contrast Golden Brown was one of the most shown clips in the world for EMI. Lindsey Clennell has compiled this Stranglers video collection, creating a highly collectable audio-visual biography of the band from 1977 to 1982.
