Joaquin Cortes Live originally debuted on 7th March 2001 at the Tivoli theatre in Barcelona. Since then it has been performed more than 250 times across five continents, in places as diverse as Moscow, the Dominican Republic, China, Japan, and Lebanon. A month residency in Madrid and three sold out shows in the Teatro de la Maestranza in Sevilla, the cradle of Flamenco. In 2002, the show played a total of four nights at the Royal Albert Hall, the venue where Joaquin had stamped his mark so emphatically on the international scene in 1996.
