Tango With Federico, Volume One contains the rudiments necessary for an absolute beginner to move around the dance floor with confidence while performing simple sequences with recognizable variety in a two-to-three minutes long dance. Throughout the entire one hour length of this DVD, each sequence is recorded from various camera angles under the headings of 'Leader's step', 'Follower's step', and then the Leader and the Follower together performing the sequence with and without background music.

There is a section dedicated to the Leader's arm movements in leading the Follower, as well as long shots, medium shots and close ups of various points in both real time and slow motion. There is no direct talking to the camera by the instructor; instead all the commentary is recorded off camera and then dubbed over action shots, so no boring 'talking heads' at all.

Finally there are quite a few set pieces where the instructors simply dance to music for your added entertainment, not only the sequences included in the lessons but the other exciting moves as well.
