Fats Domino and Rick Nelson had several important things in common. First of all, Nelson scored his first hit in 1957 by covering Domino's smash "I'm Walkin'," announcing his allegiance to rock and roll in the process. They both made the majority of their classic recordings for Lew Chudd's Los Angeles-based Imperial Records. And on August 22, 1985, the two rock pioneers teamed to entertain an appreciative throng at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles with a non-stop presentation of their immortal hits. Fortunately for all of us who weren't able to attend the concert, this historic onstage meeting was captured for posterity on DVD.
