They Sailed Into Danger...and Into History.

The year is 1801. The sea churns white beneath them, while two ferocious competitors sail through towering waves headlong into unknown dangers...and into history. The Navigators is the true story of one of the most daring ocean races ever, where the prize was nothing less than a continent.

For Englishman Matthew Flinders, shipwreck, prison-even questions about his sanity-have not dulled his hunger for adventure. Aboard The Investigator, he is determined to be the first to unveil an exotic land rumored to lie at the bottom of the world. For Frenchman Nicolas Baudin of the rival ship, Le Geographe, the dangerous expedition is a chance to claim enormous natural treasures and scientific prestige for France.

As they race to be the first to lay claim to the prize of Australia, Flinders and Baudin have no idea of the rebellion, disgrace and savagery that lie dead ahead in teh turbulent, uncharted waters.
