A King Hu Film

This magnificent film from the late, great King Hu (A Touch of Zen, Come Drink With Me) is filled with breathtaking images and unforgettable tableaus. Sung Dynasty scholar Ho leaves the capital for a deserted, decrepit town so that he may finish writing a Buddhist sutra amid peace and quiet. While there, he meets two women who are both competing for his love. Unbeknownst to Ho, however, they are actually ghosts fighting for possession of the sutra.
